I've tried the regular drip coffee machines, french press, bialetti, and so on, and with the exception of the first one, I like them all for different reasons. I decided to try the Chemex last week after seeing it time and again on blogs and in magazines, and I like it very much for its simplicity. I also think it's chemistry-inspired design is elegant and unique, and I like to use the nice big square paper filters. I'll probably stick with the french press for stronger coffee and bialetti for espresso, but Chemex is perfect for a very good morning cup. More about the design and brew method here!
