This is the personal website of Jessica Wright (JCPW). The editorial direction of the site is eclectic, and it has taken many forms over the years, but the writing clusters around stories about people, places, and ideas (letters), and opinions on law, politics, and world affairs (memoranda). There is also quite a bit about the arts, literature, and life in New York City and abroad. These themes are also reflected in photographs, which you can find in the photography portfolio and scattered throughout the blog.
A bit about myself: I am an international lawyer currently living and working in Kabul, Afghanistan. Originally from the Midwest, I've spent much of my time in New York City and London. My research interests include: international and constitutional law, foreign policy, human rights, and issues of law and religion in MENA and South/Central Asia.
